Manisha Koirala’s wedding date on June 19th

Manisha Koirala is all set to marry Nepal-based businessman Samrat Dahal on June 19th, says sources. The actress is eagerly awaiting the release of her next film Ek Second Jo Zindagi Badal De, which is directed by Partho Gosh, on June 4th.

According to sources close to the actress, she would prefer to shuttle between India and Nepal after the wedding as she has homes in both the countries.

Manisha had acted in scores of Hindi films and was seen in a couple of Tamil films alongside popular heroes like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Arjun and Arvind Swamy.

Manisha Koirala joins Dhanush

Manisha Koirala, who stole many a hearts in Tamil films like Bombay, Indian and Mudhalvan is shooting in Chennai after a long gap. She is in Chennai with the unit of ‘Mappillai’ which is a remake of the 1989 super hit starring Rajinikanth by the same name.

Manisha Koirala is playing Dhanush’s proud mother-in-law in the film which was played by Sri Vidya in original. The film is directed by Suraaj and produced by Sun Pictures. Manisha was finalized for the role after Sridevi and Jayapradha refused. Even Tabu was tried at a later stage. Manisha’s last film in Tamil was ‘Baba’ which also has a Rajini connection.

Hansika Motwani plays the heroine played by the beautiful Amala in the original.

The 1989 super hit ‘Mappillai’ is one of the evergreen films of Rajinikanth. It was a remake of Chiranjeevi starrer in Telugu ‘Athaku Yamudu Ammayiki Mogudu’. Interestingly, it was Chiranjeevi who produced the first remake in Tamil with the super star.

Manisha Koirala to make a comeback in Bollywood

Manisha Koirala is about to make a comeback to films with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film, My Friend Pinto. This film, like their earlier film together, will have a Catholic setup.

Meanwhile, Manisha is back from the US after spending time with her boyfriend, Chris. But movies still remain her first love. She admits to having wanted to work with Sanjay for a while now but was waiting for the right part. She doesn’t want to do just five-scene, two-song roles. After working on Deepti Naval’s film, Do Paise Ki Dhoop Char Aane Ki Baarish, she’s desperate to do challenging roles. Manisha will soon also be working with Yash Raj Films and Raj Kumar Santoshi.

Manisha’s next plan is to lose weight before she makes a public appearance. She is now looking forward to a new beginning.

Manisha Koraila as Dhanush’s mom in law?

When whole lot of yesteryear beauties of film industry has been related with Dhanush’s ‘Mappillai’ as mother-in-law, here’s another excitement. Bollywood’s red-hot Manisha Koraila seems to be included in the finalists’ league now.

Last evening, actor Dhanush had hosted a press meet for a media interaction regarding his recent release ‘Kutty’. On this occasion, the actor revealed that it will take some more time to establish a prominent position in main league of actors in Kollywood. When asked about the delayed reason of ‘Aadukalam’, Dhanush said, “The film requires lots of preproduction works and director Vetrimaaran has spend nearly a year to record the happening day-to-day lifestyle of Madurai.”

So, what about his mother-in-law in ‘Mappillai’? The actor didn’t reveal much about it as he said that director has approached various actresses including Manisha Koraila and soon they’ll finalize the deal.
