Mohanlal’s, Jayasurya directed Angel John is releasing on October 8.

The film was originally slated for release on October 2, but was pushed as Pazhassi Raja was to release on the same day.

Now with no sight of the warrior king, Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor of Maxlab has gone ahead and confirmed October 8 as the release date to theatres in Kerala.

There is a good buzz about the Jayasurya directed film, and it is said to have an universal message One of the songs in the film tuned by National award winning music director Ouseapachan, sung by Hariharan and Franco and picturised on Mohanlal and Santhanoo, in Pondicherry has already become hot on television.

Megastar Mohanlal’s next film is titled as ‘Angel John’ directed by Jayasurya, the son of famous theatre personality S.L. Puram Sadanandan. Angel John is the second movie to the director Jayasurya. His first film was ‘The Speed Track’ starred by Dileep.

The film has Santhanoo Bhagyaraj in the lead along with Lalu Alex, Ambika, Salim Kumar and others. The film has music by the National Award winning music director Ouseappachan.

Mohanlal appears as Angel John at the interval point of the film and helps the hero Santhanoo overcome all difficulties in his life and emerge a winner. Ace cameraman Ajay Vincent is the lensman for the film.

Maxlab who are distributing the film has slated it as Mohanlal’s big ‘pooja’ release on October 2. The film has enough for the kids and family audiences and is likely to work big time with Kerala audiences.
 


Angel John release doubtful on October 8

Mohanlal’s eagerly awaited Angel John in which K Bhyagaraj’s son Santhanoo is the hero is unlikely to release on October 8 as planned.

The distributors, Max Lab had called up theatres planning to screen it and told them of a one week postponement.

It seems the Jayasurya directed films post production work is not over and DI work is still going on in a Mumbai studio. In all probability Angel John will make it to theatres only on Oct 15 or 16 for the Diwali weekend, when it has to take on Mammootty’s Pazhassi Raja and Suriya- Nayanthara action adventure Aadhavan, which is releasing big in Kerala.
